"Knowledgeable and accommodating tutor"
I needed a tutor for my MTEL (Mass teachers test) for English as Second Language. I had taken the practice multiple choice portion of test without study and got a 66%. Granted I had a lot of background knowledge in this area as a professional but did not do well on the exam at all... After 6 sessions with Judy I retook the multiple choice and scored a 91%. I felt very confident in my exam today, especially in the 2 open response questions. I loved working with Judy, She was so accommodating finding a book we would both read and then discuss the chapters. She tested me on the chapter each time and I really internalized everything through our discussions. We looked at the two sample essays and how the MTEL graded them, I did the responses then we discussed them together. I am so grateful for Judy! It was not easy to find an ESL MTEL prep tutor, especially when the search engine continually brought me to only tutors for individuals who would want to be tutored as an ESL student. I definitely suggest working with Judy!
